About this deal

Erin Watt once again dropped an explosive cliffhanger. I got goosebumps. Seriously, that one is INSANE. Then, we have to wait till January for the next one. THIS. MERCILESS. CLIFFHANGER.

Book #5 starts basically right where we left the Royals in Fallen Heir. In the hospital with twin Seb in very critical condition and with Hartley being blamed for the accident. And Easton being blamed for everything happening in the first place. And then suddenly Hartley collapses and hits her head very hard ... and due to the fall she wakes up and has forgotten the last three years of her complicated life. Could be a good thing, but not when her parents are trying to run her life now and also not when those idiot kids from school - aka Felicity - are telling stupid lies about Hartley's lost time! Hartley has amnesia. Felicity tries to confuse Hartley. The twins are separated. Easton tries to help Hartley. He's the oldest Royal left at school, the one left in charge. He wants carefree, he wants fun. He wants the antithesis of responsibility. The problem with responsibility is, it comes in all forms.Because Easton's story should not be read as a standalone - it's possible, past things are being explained a bit in here, but it would be so much better to have read the whole series first!

Ella is mostly similar to her mother in appearance, which made it easy to pass for her, such as height and similar facial features. Her eyes, like her father's, were described as a bluish-gray that resembled the Reed of the Atlantic ocean. Ella has natural golden hair.

The book has such a sad vibe with Seb still in the hospital and Hartley without any idea of what happened. And poor Easton - he can't flirt or joke his way out of all the mess this time. Aimee: I haven’t enjoyed a book in so long as much as I liked paper princess. I haven’t read fallen crest so I’ll give that a go as I’m on major book hangover now. How can I wait until July for book 2 Easton had his problems in the previous books; yeah he's a drunk, has an addiction problem, has a thing for his brothers' girlfriends but he had a good side, too. Also Sebastian woke up after being super angry and rude which is understandable but we won't ever know if he gets better or what.

I have loved this series. The authors have given their readers an intriguing serial as addictive as a nighttime soap opera. The characters are fabulous and I'm glad I met them. While I wish to know more about the twins, Val and even Callum!!! I appreciate the author's decision to end the series (for now ... we can only hope, right?) The story is told solely in Easton’s POV, and although it was great to finally be inside that boy’s head, I would have loved to see some things in Hartley’s eyes. I want to get to know her more because I didn’t really see much of her in this book. From what I’ve seen though is a strong girl who has been on her own for too long. She guards her heart and keeps her secrets close to her chest. She’s a lot like Ella, personality-wise. I screwed my brother’s ex-girlfriend in his bed. I hooked up with Niall O’Malley’s mom during an after-party at his house. I took on two of the Pastels a year ago in the Carringtons’ pool.” That is until Callum Royal uproots her life and plops her into his mansion amongst his own five sons. The Royal boys hate her on the spot, but none more so than Reed. I'm Easton Royal and my goal in life is to do what makes me happy. So long as no one gets hurt, it's all good. The problem is someone is always getting hurt.Hartley and Easton don't appear to be anything alike or have anything in common. Where Easton strives for that attention, Hartley wants none of it. They make an interesting pair. Though Harley doesn’t want to ‘be’ with Easton (at least thats what she says…) they become friends. I'm going to be honest, maybe I didn't give this book enough of my time. The story did not capture me and it felt like I was forcing myself to read something, rather than wanting to read it. Reed seems determined to keep Ella from settling comfortably into her new charmed life amongst the rich kids of Malibu. But what is Reed hiding? Ella is just as determined to come through it all with her soul intact. Kelly: Less than a 1/4 way through ( Paper Princess) and am really liking it. So far it has a bit of a Corrupt feel with ruling the school…… So finished and not like Corrupt at all. Loved it!
