The main scene with the ‘River Man’ is pin-drop perfect. Triana delivered such a stunning character awaiting in that cabin, that each sentence held weight. I was grinning from ear-to-ear as it was described and when the ‘River Man’ had a meeting with both Lori and her sister, I knew the ending was going to be vicious. I just read this yesterday and I'm a bit conflicted, and would love to hear your guys' thoughts. Overall, here is my review:

I just finished this book a couple hours ago and at first I couldn’t figure out why I was so disturbed. Because, yes, the content is disturbing but it’s nothing I haven’t read before. I really loved this real life horror mixed with supernatural elements. This is a relentless, disgusting and horrid story about the darkness that lives inside of Lori. Lori, a woman of middle age, is obsessed with a convicted serial killer and rapist, Edmund Cox, known for brutally killing more than twenty girls, with whom she has been in touch through correspondence and prison visits. She develops and unhealthy relationship with the killer, and starts seeing him as a man of unparalleled masculinity and raw energy.
