Il suo obbiettivo era forse più simile al sanificare, dare una nota di "pulito" al viso di un fumatore. The fresh and zesty accord of lemon and pepper are great, and the nice soothing lavender just make it the perfect signature scent. originally made for the Duke Of Marlborough, back int the day this gem must have been a pure blast of classiness, with today restrictions it's a tamed beast. com perfumes magazine - All Rights Reserved - do not copy anything without prior written permission. This initial spray is heavy heavy Old English Lemon Oil, u know the Kind in the dark plastic bottle you use to polish up your Wood.

There does seem to be something like a touch of tonka/benzoin/whatever softening this up every so slightly, though it's not listed. It's not particularly complex, but it is well blended and the ingredients are of an obvious high quality (at least in my bottle, which is circa 2006 or so). I will probably get another bottle, it will probably take me years to use up as I won't want to wear it everyday or cover myself in it but that's OK, because when in the right mood this is unbeatable.I like to think that the obvious lemon note is like the sunshine, but the dry down brings a darker, spicier depth with strong incense throughout, making it very warm and comforting, especially during the cold mornings. What's more, they were probably well liked for that quality as well - there's a reason why household cleaning products have picked up on their scent. Here's the thing, I really, really wanted to like at least one thing from Penhaligon's, but I don't, my range goes to mildly disliking to finding some repulsive. Unfortunately I can't smell any lavender and the lemongrass note is dominant, but it's still nice, aromatic and refreshing. the main problem with this scent is duration and projection but if you go heavy with the sprayer you get a blast of lemon and musky woods, this scent was Winston Churchill signature scent.

and not a sharp pepper a la Poivre Samarcande by Hermes or Poivre 23 by Le Labo, but a very "gawky" pepper. However this one smells exactly like some taps my mom used to desolve in hot water and make me inhale when I had a cold. That strong taste of lemon when you bite through the candy shell is exactly what I am reminded up when I smell this. I was trying to swim and crawl, I reached the surface of the sea water finally by somehow, but the air I could breathe was filled by grey smoke regrettably. I do apologise if this is a useless review, since clearly its 'just not for me' and a high quality fragrance.

Literally, that's what Penhaligon's legendary and storied Blenheim Bouquet smells like on my skin: Paper, lemony citrus and pepper. Imagine the typical London Gentlemen's club filled with upper class men smoking fine cigars whilst sat on old leather chairs and you have found Blenhiem Bouquet. Fresh warm citrus and lavender notes are dusted with pepper and dried down into bracingly cool conifers and woods. However, the citrus top notes are very short-lived, and as they fade they seem to take the crisp, green woodsiness of the pine with them.then the smell of a wooden kitchen chopping board that could do with a wash (it's been used to chop those lemons, but earlier in the day for other culinary choppings for that chicken marinade). It also has a softer side brought by the lavender and musk which makes it much more wearable for me, and very inviting too.

A perfect harmony between citrus and spice scents on a woody background, characteristic of a perfume that is both a great classic and an innovative fragrance. Projection is on the weaker side of moderate but for those in closer proximity I can’t imagine anyone not enjoying this scent as you pass by. Nevertheless, those that did pick out this parallel often preferred Blenheim Bouquet over eau de cologne as it feels like a fresher and more uplifting take on the softer iterations such as 4711.A fragrance to give or treat yourself, as a symbol of time that passes without changing what really matters. At first it smells fresh: a tiny touch of lavender with a quiet citrus crush, but it quickly develops into a warm, thick scent.
