About this deal

Well anyways as some of you may remember I ran a Brookside petition for DVD release in 2012 which was a success. Packed with hilarious, touching and startling behind-the-scenes tales of the actor’s most memorable moments – from their first auditions to on-screen romances – Brookside: The Men is filled with specially chosen clips featuring many of the series’ top characters from the past fourteen years. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. It has taken a five-year campaign, led by fans Lee Brady and Dan Burton, to get this DVD compilation released.

The series followed teen sweethearts Damon Grant (Simon O'Brien) and Debbie McGrath (Gillian Kearney) as they absconded to York to escape their disapproving parents in Liverpool who objected to the relationship because of the class divide. However, the beginning of the breakdown of her marriage to Bobby is also apparent as he becomes increasingly jealous of her course studies and her determination to better herself. Known to millions only as their on-screen characters, this video gives a unique insight into the real actors and what it’s really like to be in Brookie. Driven into hiding after the death of Tim O`Leary`s wife Emily, drug dealer Terry Gibson hatches a plan to delievr both Tim and Steve into his clutches.Following the residents of a cul-de-sac in the north west of Liverpool, the show reached its peak in the late 1980s and early 1990s and was notable for its realistic and socially challenging storylines.

Before each episode Dean Sullivan (Jimmy Corkhill) gives an overview of the episode which helps to tie up any parts of the storylines featured that aren't shown on screen. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.Throughout the episode, Debbie, who has kept her diabetes secret from Damon, tries to locate a pharmacy to obtain insulin, having left her own supply on the boat in York. The DVD also features 'The Siege', one of the shows final 'big' stories - which ends with a huge helicopter crash. Finally enjoy explosive episodes featuring the gas leak at The Parade, the helicopter crash and Anthony Murray fighting back against his bully.

On the third day, Clarke is at breaking point and the siege reaches a dramatic climax as Kate persuades him to release Pat and Sandra. In the meantime, Damon works in the Dick Turpin-themed Burger Bar in Coney Street,[11] managed by Lettuce (Siobhan Maher). A special DVD release has been rumoured for over a year, with a campaign to celebrate the anniversary launched by fans in 2007. They then move to Bradford, where Damon works as a groundsman at the Valley Parade football ground (reflecting, in an interior monologue, upon the fire there a year earlier).

His CV includes spells as a news producer at the BBC and TVNZ, as well as web editor for Time Inc UK.

Jenna Coleman (78) Jennifer Lawrence (45) Jess Glynne (47) Justin Bieber (61) los santos (47) Michael Fassbender (47) Murray Gold (49) Oscar Isaac (45) Peter Capaldi (103) Reece Shearsmith (56) rockstar (46) Sam Smith (72) Samuel L. See the very first episode, the Close overrun with police during the 1985 siege and the shocking storyline of Sheila Grant’s rape. Featurette: The Story So Far (2½ mins): Well, more a brief summary of what led up to this manhunt, shown as clipsfrom the siege episodes – sometimes with and sometimes without the dodgy’pretend film’ effect, including when Gibson shot the police helicopter downand it blew up the petrol station which was never rebuilt and/or convenientlyforgot about. The 1998 gas explosion episodes are excellent and I am pleased they are included, also brilliant is the murder of Imelda Clough from 2002 which won Best Storyline at the Soap Awards, along with an acting award for Ray Quinn, almost Brookside's last hurrah. Sheila’s memorable night out on the town with Kathy ends with hilarious and dramatic consequences when they are followed back to the Close by two amorous drunks.Apparently Phil Redmond wants to let Brookside live on in DVD form, in a seriesof one-off specials such as this. Using a Liverpool Escort Agency and Tim and Steve’s limousine business, he lures them to a remote Welsh farm to exact revenge. Cover blurb: Join Katie Rogers (Diane Burke), Jacqui Dixon (Alex Fletcher), David Crosbie (John Burgess) and Bev McLoughlin (Sarah White) on a specially recorded in-depth guided tour behind the scenes of the nation’s favourite close, as well as your only chance to see the alternative ending to the Jordache trial. Remember the soap that pushed boundaries with the broadcast of the first ever pre-watershed lesbian kiss on British television, religious cults, suicide pacts and a plot about sibling incest that caused uproar in 1996.
