The Soundboks series’ sound quality has improved with each new version. The Soundboks 4 has improved clarity and detail over the Soundboks 3 and better bass performance. If you need more power from the Soundboks, you can wirelessly pair two speakers together for improved soundstage and volume. The dynamic performance is impressive, and pushing the volume will only have a minor impact on the sound quality. Audio Connections Aiwa speakers are a good choice for anyone looking for a quality sound system. The company has a long history of producing quality audio equipment, and their speakers are no exception. They offer a wide range of models to choose from, so you can find the perfect set of speakers for your needs. Whether you’re looking for a simple stereo system or a high-end surround sound setup, Aiwa has a speaker system that will suit your needs.

Aiwa Exos-9 is a battery-operated speaker. The battery is not built into the speaker and it can be removed and replaced. S1 Pro has a rechargeable battery that can provide you with 11 hours of continuous playtime at 50% volume (up to 4h at full volume). The sound quality is what made Aiwa Exos-9 so popular but it’s not the only good thing about this speaker. The battery inside the speaker is pretty good (but there are some confusing things about the battery we are going to discuss). We also liked the facts that Exos-9 features USB powerbank port for charging phones/tablets and that you can customize the EQ settings by using onboard EQ controls. Exos-9 can be paired wirelessly with another Exos-9 speaker and you can choose between 2 modes – dual stereo and stereo separated (we are going to explain these two modes later). The last thing we have to mention is that Bose S1 Pro comes with a Shure mic and one XLR cable. Things we don’t like Spoiler alert... the Exos 9 sounds significantly better. I have not found a portable, battery operated speaker that comes close. It’s easy to wonder why Aiwa hasn’t updated the speaker, but honestly it just sounds ridiculously better than all of its competitors. The dynamic range is fantastic. The sound is very powerful and natural. It gets significantly louder than the hyperboom with zero distortion and much more humph. Because of the subwoofer, the bass remains neatly beneath the mids. Also, because the mid’s aren’t responsible for pushing any passive radiators — they’re able to handle more of the vocals without relying on the tweeters (more on this later). With that all said, it isn’t water resistant and less portable than the hyperboom .The largest part of the front panel is covered with a removable and transparent aluminum grille that protects those 5 drivers we’ve talked about. You can leave the grille on or remove it – it all depends on your taste. Fact 4 : 120dB of noise is, by many authors and scientists, considered the threshold of pain, and any sound louder than 120dB can cause immediate damage. So, 120dB can be considered dangerously loud. Having in mind Fact 2, 120dB noise is 32x louder than a normal speech (approx. 70dB). 12 Loudest Bluetooth Speakers – Comparison Table Loudest Bluetooth Speakers Even though it has a huge battery, the speaker doesn’t have any USB charge-out ports for charging other devices. The sound quality of the SoundLink Flex is excellent, thanks to Bose’s PositionIQ Technology which adjusts the EQ based on the speaker’s orientation.

JBL PartyBox 300 is not very rugged and it has no IPX rating, so you should be careful around pools.

How Do You Reset The Battery On Aiwa Exos-9?

The speaker features wireless connectivity – it runs on Bluetooth 4.2 and it’s reliable and stable within the standard 30ft Bluetooth range. Multipoint pairing is supported – you can connect two phones wirelessly at the same time. Also, thanks to the Connect + feature and JBL’s Connect + app, you can pair two JBL Boombox speakers or any two speakers that support Connect + and play the music in stereo or party mode. We almost placed the Go onto our list of lightweight contenders due to the size, but we find t To start, the Exos-9 is big, heavy and loud, which makes it perfect for kid’s basement parties and both indoor and outdoor get-togethers. Even though the Exos-9 can be used outdoors, it is neither waterproof nor water resistant. Aiwa does offer an optional carrying case which gives the speaker an IPX4 splash and dustproof rating. The treble is really smooth, and doesn't have much of a sparkle or presence, but you can EQ that from the built-in EQ of the speaker, which means that you can enjoy a much more sparkly and enjoyable speaker if you take a few moments to tweak it. This will come in really handy if you'll be holding a party, as a somewhat V-Shaped sound will be the most enjoyable one for a party AIWA is actually a pretty well established company with a large product offer, which includes headphones, like the ARC-1 Bluetooth headset that I reviewed before, and the pretty new EXOS 8 Party speaker, and the Prodigy Air TWS Earbuds. They are quite reliable and will provide proper warranty and support for you, although they are also sold a lot in stores that aren't necessarily audio stores. Those stores should also offer a pretty excellent overall warranty and support, and you won't have to rely on Aiwa alone, so if you see them being sold in your favorite electronics shop, you should totally go for their products, as they are quite reliable. I should also mention that after having had their ARC-1 Bluetooth headphones for almost a year now, I can confirm that they didn't break so far.

AIWA EXOS 9 is in a class of its own, being a bluetooth speaker, but not a very portable one, thanks to its weight, which is almost funny high, of about 7 KG, but it has a lot going on for it, including APT-X, a battery of about 15600 mAh, and even built-in EQ. Since it is a bluetooth speaker, it won’t have any pairings, and there are no actual comparison point for it at the moment, but don’t worry, as soon as I’ll be reviewing a speaker that matches its description, it will get compared to Exos 9. This being said, the Yamaha WX-021 Music Cast 20 is similar in concept and price, and Edifier Luna also works as a comparison point, and to make it three, I will also add Edifier S1000DB to the comparison list. They both have large batteries (Boombox – 20,000mAh, Exos-9 – 15,600mAh) but JBL Boombox delivers much longer playtime (22 hours compared to 9 hours) because it has 4 drivers (+ 2 passive radiators) which are smaller than the drivers on Aiwa Exos-9.The sound of the Aiwa Exos-9 is powerful and very clear. Five integrated loudspeakers, including a 6.5-inch subwoofer with an output of 200 watts, ensure this. With the help of the equalizer, it was possible to adapt the AUX mode to one’s own wishes to a great extent. Everything is possible with the Exos-9, from balanced to bass-heavy to high-frequency sound. We were very satisfied with that. We noticed particularly positively that the settings are consistently maintained even at high volumes – even bass-stressed sound is still perfectly reproduced at high volumes. Conclusion

Tailgater features Bluetooth connectivity. It provides a stable wireless connection and has a pretty good range of up to 50ft. Aside from wireless connectivity, you can play music from any source with a 3.5mm output, you can listen to the radio (AM and FM tuners ), or you can connect the included mic and use the speaker for karaoke or as a PA system. Battery life is crucial, particularly if you want to use the speaker for extended periods. While smaller speakers often have shorter battery lives, larger ones can last up to 24 hours. Expect an average battery life of around four to ten hours. 2. Audio Quality There are 5 drivers inside the speaker, one large woofer, two mid drivers, and two tweeters. This is a large configuration for a single speaker, and the fact there are two midrange drivers, and two tweeters makes the sound kinda spacey, rather than a fully mono speaker that sounds entirely mono, like the Yamaha WX021 Music Cast 20 was. There is also an EQ built in the speaker, and I managed to get a tuning that I consider sounded best with it, regardless of the location you're listening to it from. Maintain a Safe Distance: Position yourself at a safe distance from loudspeakers to minimize the risk of hearing damage. The closer you are to the source of the sound, the higher the intensity and the greater the potential for harm.

The Bluetooth has good range and is reliable, I was able to still have good signal, no dropouts, and reliable connection even from across two rooms, larger in size. This means that you probably won’t have issues even if you’re actually using the speaker at a party and dancing around. The battery has a life of about 9 hours, for a moderate volume level, but that will be cut a bit shorter if you’ll be using the speaker at its maximum volume, but in that case you’ll surely either be at a rave, or have the cops called on you for noise disturbance, and I’m not half joking, this is a loud speaker at maximum volume. The midrange is clearly not a central point to the sound, as it doesn't have the texture, or detail that you'll probably want from a speaker, but it pairs beautifully with the bass, and provides a loud, clear, and hard-hitting overall experience. Having two midrange drivers also provides something of a wide, space-y sound, but it won't be fully stereo, unless you will be standing very far from the speaker, and somehow right in front of it, leaving enough space for a bit of a soundstage to shape up. The detail is fair, much better than Edifier E25 Luna, which I reviewed before, but still below Edifier S1000 DB, which is about 450 USD at the moment of writing the review.
